Christian Attorneys Online is part of Christian Networking Enterprises (www.christiansnetworking.com) developed for wide range of Christian businesses and services. We screen our clients through many layers of "filters" to exclude individuals that do not adhere to our Articles Of Faith or Terms and Conditions of our network usage. We are committed to respect and protect your personal privacy. Our Privacy Policy and the use of individual data are explained below.

This privacy statement covers www.ChristianAttorneysOnline.com and discloses the information gathering process and the privacy and dissemination practices for the Web site. Our site is an Internet portal designed to provide an easy way to find Christian attorneys on the Internet. Attorneys that choose to become Members of this site create a profile that is advertised on our site per the terms of the membership package selected.

Our site is a membership-based service that collects credit card numbers, addresses, and bank information only from those who choose to sign up as paid members. Any visitors may choose to browse the Site, search the profiles and/or view any articles.

Information Collection
Christian Networking Enterprises is the sole owner of the information collected on ChristianAttorneysOnline.com. Christian Networking Enterprises collects information from our Christian clients through the application form. To find the application form simply click "Register" link from the home page.

 

Chatrooms, Message Boards
Keep in mind, if you use our system to send messages via this site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit within the chatroom or message board can be read, collected, or used by the recipient of the message, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit within these forums.

Application/Registration
In order to use this Web site, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a client is required to give us his/her contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact the user about services on our site in which s/he has expressed interest. It is not necessary for the client to provide demographic/race information (such as income level or race/ethnicity) or a social security number. However it is required that the client selects his/her user name and password and identifies a form of payment (such as credit card or e-checking), online or offline (by mail or in some cases by fax).

Information Use
We do not use the information collected to share, sell or distribute in any way or form with other entities online or offline. The personal information of the clients is stored on our secure database and it is used solely for purposes of: identification, billing disputes, verification and/or authentication. Since our establishment in May of 1995 until now, we have not had even one case of broken in or stolen personal identification of our members.

Legal Requests
Christian Networking Enterprises cooperates with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties to enforce laws, such as: intellectual property rights, fraud and other rights, to help protect you and the ChristianAttorneysOnline.com community from bad actors. Therefore, in response to a verified request by law enforcement or other government officials relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity, we can (and hereby you authorize us to) disclose your name, city, state, telephone number, email address, User ID history, fraud complaints, and listing history without a subpoena. With the exception of the above, in an effort to respect your privacy and our ability to keep the community free from bad actors, we will not disclose your personal information to law enforcement or other government officials without a subpoena, court order or substantially similar legal procedure.

Profiles of members
We store the collected information through cookies, and/or otherwise via application to create a personal profile of our users. A profile is a dynamic page with or without a user's picture that uses partial stored information (without certain private/personal information). Profile has user details, information and viewing preferences that s/he has selected to be visible. Consequently, collected information is tied to the user's personal information so other users who are looking for attorney advice or representation can make certain determinations if the particular attorney member should be contacted or not. User's visit to our Web site does not constitute direct or indirect marketing/promotions. We do not share your profile with any third parties.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personal information while on our site. On the home page we use the cookies by asking member to bookmark ChristianAttorneysOnline.com thus adding the site to their favorites. There is no collection of personal information involved on the home page. We use the ID session when members login. Once the user closes the browser, the ID session terminates. ID session is used to log in, access the chatroom and restrict email privileges. With the setting of the ID session on our site, users don't have to log in with the password more than once up to 25 to 30 minutes in some cases, thereby saving time while on our site.

Correcting/Updating/Cancellation
To update, correct, or cancel personal information log in to the "member section" of the site.

Third Party Links
The links appearing on this Web site are delivered to the users only as a courtesy. The information about user's visit to those links, such as number of times they have viewed an ad (but not user name, address, or other personal information), cannot be used to serve ads to users on this site. This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by Christian Networking Enterprises only and does not cover the use of cookies by any link provider.

Communications from Christian Networking Enterprises
Welcoming new members: We send all new members a welcoming email with the password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Monthly Newsletter: Newsletter with new and/or important information is sent on a monthly basis to the members. We send such a letter to the name of the user to his/her email address. In order to unsubscribe from the newsletter, members will have to log in to their account, click on edit my profile, and check the option "no" under "Receive Monthly Newsletter." Service Announcements: On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature. Customer Service: We communicate with the users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues related to their accounts. For customer service communication we are available to be reached via email, phone or fax in accordance with the users wishes.

Sharing Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we are served with subpoena on Governmental, criminal or civil action in accordance to current judicial proceeding.

Aggregate Information (non-personal)
We do not share aggregate demographic information with our partners or our advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information.

Third Party Advertisers
Christian Networking Enterprises does not share ChristianAttorneysOnline.com Web site information about our users with any third party advertisers.

We do not use any third party intermediaries.

Service Providers
We do not partner with any other third party service providers, except that our connection is through Verio that hosts our "dedicated server" in a secure, locked up environment.

Business Transitions
In the event Christian Networking Enterprises goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, user's personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Users will be notified via email, prominent notice on our Web site for 30 days, prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information. If as a result of the business transition, the user's personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given choice consistent with our notification of changes section.

Choice/Opt-out
Our users are given the opportunity to "opt-out" by removing their email address from our lists. Once a member, click on edit my profile and check the option "no" under "Receive Monthly Newsletter." If a member wants to cancel the membership, s/he will have to request a cancellation through email at cancellation@christianattorneysonline.com. Or simply, when logged into the account, click on Billing/Cancellation link and fill out the form according to the request. Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications may opt-out from receiving these communications by replying to online email.

We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personal information. Tell-A-Friend (referral program)
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend's user name and password. Upon confirmation, both the user and the friend will receive an additional membership time free.

Security
This Web site takes every precaution to protect our user's information. When users submit sensitive information on the Web site, their information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/application form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or date of birth), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - "Verisign, Inc (Authentic Site)". While on a secure page, such as our application form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, when users are just ˜surfing". To learn more about SSL, follow "Verisign, Inc. sign. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, administration, our billing supervisor or customer service representative) are granted access to personal information. Our employees must use password protected screen savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to user information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place in the privacy issue, and what they can do to ensure that our users information is protected.
